February 2019
This was for my second time reading at Pop-up Prose. It was Valentine's day, and the theme was “Love Hangover". It crowded Moscow's only sex shop, a crammed, back-room arrangement.
Not this February, but the one 2 years prior was also the month I started hormones, and the bulk of this essay is seeing the ways my relationship with my body and the erotic have changed in that time. I opened with a tiny guided meditation, then talked about tits, the pharmacopornographic regime, signifiers, gender-as-action, plow pose, autogynephilia, divinity, and expansive autoeroticism.
This one is obviously a bit personal, but if you're really interested, get in contact and I might let you read it.
